Important Instructions

  • Any wrong information given by the candidates will debar him for the maximum period of five years from applying for any post under the UPPSC.
  • The date of birth of the candidates shall be admissible as entered in High School Certificate. The candidate will have to attach his/ her High School or Equivalent Examination Certificate with the application form of Main Examination. No Other Certificates shall be acceptable for Date of Birth and if it is not attached to the application, it shall be rejected.
  • The candidates shall be required to obtain such minimum marks in the compulsory paper of General Hindi as may be determined by the Govt. or the Commission as the case may be.
  • Most Important Point-
  • The minimum efficiency standard for S.C. & S.T. candidates is fixed as 30% i.e. the Candidates of these Categories shall not be placed in the merit/select list if they have secured less than 30% marks in the Preliminary/Main examination.
  • Similarly, the minimum efficiency standard for the candidates of other categories is fixed as 40% i.e. such candidates shall not be placed in the merit/select list if they have secured less than 40% marks in the Preliminary/Main examination. All such candidates who have secured fewer marks than the marks of minimum efficiency standard as fixed by the Commission shall be treated disqualified. Martial Status
  • In the official notification of UPPSC APO Mains Online Form, it is mentioned that the “Male candidates who are married and have more than one wife living and female candidates who have married a person already having a wife, shall not be eligible unless the Hon’ble. Governor has granted an exemption from this condition”.

UPPSC APO Syllabus and Exam Pattern

  • The UPPSC APO Mains Online Form 2020, Exam will be conducted in two stages i.e UPPSC APO Pre Exam and UPPSC APO Main Exam. The Main Exam will consist of two phases written examination and personality test. The APO Pre exam is the filtering exam and will have two papers. The UPPSC APO Mains Online Form Exam written will have four subjective type of papers. The time for all papers will be of three hours.
  • UPPSC APO Pre Exam will be conducted with two objective type papers. One paper will consist of the topics from the General Knowledge and the other will ask questions from the specific statutes given in the Exam pattern of the notification.
  • The questions breakup of the General Knowledge topics is given in the following chart as provided in the official UPPSC APO Notification. The paper will have only 50 questions and the second paper will have 100 questions related to the Acts given in the Syllabus.
  • One Question Paper Time- 2 hours  Maximum Marks – 150

Marking Scheme

  • There will be negative marking of one third.
  • There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
  • If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answer happens to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.
  • If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

  1. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the UPPSC website https://uppsc.up.nic.in from 13.06.2020 to 23.06.2020.
  2. Candidates have to click on the link then New Tab will open.
  3. Visit the official website of UPPSC.i.e.uppsc.up.nic.in.
  4. Click on the Activity Dashboard flashing on the homepage.
  5. Click on the link reads ‘ Conventional Form:- FILL ONLINE DETAILS FOR ASSISTANT PROSECUTION OFFICER MAIN EXAM-2018’ on the homepage.
  6. Enter the registration number, date of birth, gender, category, captcha code, and click on validate.
  7. Then, the form will be opened.
  8. Candidates are advised to take two copies of printouts of the online application for future reference.
  9. After submitting the online application, the candidate will have to submit the hard copy of the application to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, (Exam Hall – 3), 10 Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Prayagraj, Pin code no. 211018 latest by 23 June 2020.
